About Me

Chad in Frame

Over the years I’ve been privileged to work with some wonderful brands and fantastic people. Below is the story that’s shaped me into the designer I am today.

It all started when I designed and saw published my first newspaper advertisement in 1994 for the paper. I was chuffed to say the least and this design spark led me to study 5 years of graphic design, first the college diploma and then the university degree, graduating age 20 in the year 2000.

My first job was at Direction Advertising where I learnt the craft of advertising, marketing and designing for print. The beach was just a stones throw away so I got rather comfy and stayed here for 4 years working as the lead web designer.

I moved to 4T2 in 2005 as the head designer where I played and designed online games. I learnt an awful lot about Flash, animation and motion graphics. A year later I headed for the bright lights of London where I formed Big Hello Design.

I balance my time working with London design agencies and also working client side. I’ve had the pleasure to work some great people and great brands over the past 6 years, such as Sony, BT, Barclays, B&Q, Boots, British Gas, Flora, Kodak, Samsung, TMobile, Unilever, Virgin Media and Vodafone.

In 2010 I swapped the city for life on the coast where I have a wonderful wife, a heart-breakingly gorgeous daughter, a vintage HapJacobs longboard, an exciting business and an action-packed future. Life doesn’t get better than this.
